Weekend Woes

What a wonderful weekend. Friday and Saturday featured 101 scorchers and last night around nine the electricity went out along with the air conditioning and my nerves. But at least the power will be on by morning, I assumed. No, PG&E texted, maybe by four or five Sunday afternoon, make that eight Sunday night, how about a minute after midnight Monday morning. At least I was invited to a church potluck. I ate heartily but afterward my car wouldn’t start. AAA responded quickly with a battery. That didn’t help so they said it’s probably the starter and summoned a tow truck to take my car home where an ace handyman will try to come over around noon Monday and diagnose and repair my 2008 warrior. I know all of this isn’t war or medical disaster but it is a bummer lessened by a large PGE crew that had the juice on by my three p.m. Sunday return. Bravo…
