\u201cIt is most ironic and unfair that I, a supremely righteous man and the epitome of moral rectitude for a generation of divine white conservatives, am currently being pilloried for making an immoral statement.\u00a0 My statement was in fact taken out of context.\u00a0 And that is the only immorality in this tale.\u00a0 What I said was in this unmistakable context: a buffoon, like the millions who I\u2019m paid to preach to over the radio, called my show and stated that abortions were bad because they\u2019d prevented the births of millions of babies who would\u2019ve grown up and paid into social security and made the system economically robust.\u00a0 I, an eternal foe of abortions, nevertheless countered that using economic arguments to further an ethical point was very tricky.\u00a0 And I offered an example of just how so by noting that if you aborted \u2018every black baby in this country, the crime rate would go down.\u00a0 (But) that would be an impossible, ridiculous and morally reprehensible thing to do, but your crime rate would go down.\u2019<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat\u2019s wrong with that?\u00a0 Don\u2019t accuse me of advocating genocide.\u00a0 I clearly did not.\u00a0 And don\u2019t claim I was giving philosophical fodder to fanatics who might like to try my hypothesis \u2013 look right there: I said it would be \u2018impossible.\u2019\u00a0 That\u2019s right.\u00a0 It couldn\u2019t be done and it would be wrong and bereft of virtue and I know because I wrote \u2018The Book of Virtues.\u2019\u00a0 I surely am not the problem.\u00a0 The problem is liberals who pretend there was something offensive, even ominous in what I said.\u00a0 The paragons of political correctness are braying again.\u00a0 And they\u2019re not only wrong, they\u2019re moral weaklings who still don\u2019t understand that today it\u2019s irrelevant the ancestors of some were herded into this country in chains and enslaved a century or two then by law kept in servitude another hundred years. \u00a0They should\u2019ve recovered by now.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat\u2019s what this is really all about.\u00a0 Liberals are terrified of personal responsibility.\u00a0 They don\u2019t want to wait until marriage to have sex.\u00a0 They don\u2019t even want to get married. \u00a0And if they do marry, they often swap wives and screw around.\u00a0 Then they divorce.\u00a0 And while their children go on welfare, the parents take drugs and commit violent crimes.\u00a0 They lack a moral compass and definitely need \u2018The Book of Virtues.\u2019\u00a0 Anyone who writes such a book is obviously morally superior, especially when he\u2019s been the Drug Czar and Secretary of Education.\u00a0 My words must be read and listened to on radio and television and in countless speeches I give at the bargain rate of fifty grand a pop.<\/p>\n
\u201cControl yourself.\u00a0 Be righteous.\u00a0 Act like you\u2019re white and affluent.\u00a0 Go to school.\u00a0 Connect with the right people.\u00a0 Make a pile of money.\u00a0 Then relax in a noble way.\u00a0 Go gambling.\u00a0 Be a high roller.\u00a0 Gamble away at least eight million dollars during the last ten years.\u00a0 What\u2019s the big deal?\u00a0 Gambling\u2019s like drinking.\u00a0 It\u2019s okay if you can handle it.\u00a0 I sure can.\u00a0 Look at me.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
